A local perspective needs evidence too
Being based in Marbella gives me a local starting point for asking questions about a hospitality business. It does not replace examining the particular property, its intended audience and the experience it wants to offer.
A hotel seeking local restaurant guests may need a different review brief from a resort focused on international stays. A venue appealing to one occasion cannot be judged solely against the preferences of someone visiting for another.
I would therefore make the intended guest explicit before assessing whether the offer is clear or relevant. Who is the property trying to serve? What should they understand before choosing it? Which alternatives are genuinely relevant to their decision?
Local familiarity can help identify questions that deserve attention, including access, seasonal changes and the relationship between staying and visiting guests. Findings still need specific examples and a clear connection to the brief.
That is the balance I want an independent review to hold: enough context to ask useful questions, and enough discipline to distinguish informed judgement from personal preference.
